黑料科r held a groundbreaking ceremony with Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, 黑料科 Superintendent Jamie Nash, the Gallia-Jackson-Vinton Joint Vocational School District Board of Education, and other community members. 黑料科r received over $3.7 million from to build a new training complex that will house pathways including electrical trades, broadband, telecommunications, power lineman, and heavy equipment operations. Through these programs, an additional 110 students will have the opportunity to attend the career center each year.
鈥淲hat we鈥檙e doing now is important because we鈥檙e giving these young people a better chance to live their version of the American dream and in many cases, without having to travel far from home,鈥� said the Lt. Governor. 鈥淚t鈥檚 taken a long time to get people to realize that career tech is the best value in education. Employers are hiring for skills and when you come out of career tech, you have a job.鈥�
Construction of the new training facility is expected to be completed in Fall 2024.
